For the tenth time, Deutsche Bahn (DB) is looking for innovative startups that improve maintenance processes with hardware and software solutions. Apply by January 21 for the DB Accelerator<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Smart ideas for train and railway infrastructure maintenance are once again the focus of the DB mindbox accelerator. Under the motto "The Future of Maintenance," the railway company is seeking sophisticated and technically sophisticated innovations for maintenance and repair.<\/p>\n

DB mindbox: Setting the course for startups<\/h3>\n

As part of its digitalization initiative, DB is working closely with startups. To continue driving innovative technologies forward, the company is once again seeking talent and ideas for its startup program, the Accelerator at DB mindbox. The creative lab offers founders a place where they can develop new hardware and software with Deutsche Bahn experts, test them live, and jointly drive innovations in the mobility sector.<\/p>\n

For its tenth batch, Deutsche Bahn is seeking startups whose innovations address questions related to maintenance, in particular: How can augmented and virtual reality take train and track maintenance to the next level? When and where can robots be used for maintenance? And how can trains or signals be monitored more cost-effectively?<\/p>\n

Who can apply?<\/h3>\n

Applications are invited from dedicated startups that can present at least a minimum viable product (MVP) or a prototype. The prototype can be further developed and tested in the accelerator. Startups should have an interest in software and hardware and a passion for solving technical problems. Possible topics and approaches could include predictive maintenance, wayside monitoring, or condition monitoring of machines and infrastructure. Ideas for paperless documentation, networked working, or intelligent warehousing are also sought.<\/p>\n

What does the DB Accelerator offer?<\/h3>\n

The startups move into the mindbox coworking space for three months. During the program, they also gain access to corporate data, can test their applications directly on Deutsche Bahn's infrastructure, and make valuable contacts.<\/p>\n

And: The winning startups will receive \u20ac25,000 in zero-equity financing and will further develop their technology and business model with experts from Deutsche Bahn. With this support, 38 startups have already successfully advanced their businesses in recent years. Several Munich startups have also participated, such as Dynamic Components <\/a>or\u00a0 Konux.<\/a><\/p>\n
