The 66th IAA in Frankfurt<\/h3>\n

From September 17 to 27, 2015, consumers, trade visitors, science, politics, and industry will meet for the 66th time at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt\/Main. gruenderszene.de<\/a> According to reports, almost one million visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors are expected. This year, the IAA concept has been expanded to include an additional exhibition area, the New Mobility World: a new platform that focuses on people and their mobility needs and presents the latest trends in mobility.<\/p>\n

The Startup Zone: Focus on Smart Mobility and Transportation<\/h3>\n

The IAA has also caught the startup bug: The new New Mobility World area acts as an interface between innovation and tradition. Startup Zone<\/strong> It will be shown which mobile innovations are also being created outside the development departments of large corporations such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Co.: In this theme park, startups from the fields of Smart Mobility & Transportation have the opportunity to present their ideas and innovations for the first time in a large and international environment at the motor show and to establish valuable contacts within the automotive industry.<\/p>\n

Pitch events, networking and valuable tips<\/h3>\n

Not only does this offer startups access to potential partners and customers, it also provides the opportunity to network with incubators, business angels, VCs, and mentors. The Startup Zone's program highlights include pitch events, workshops, matchmaking with OEMs\/suppliers, and panel discussions where young companies can gather new inspiration and engage with like-minded people in their industry.<\/p>\n

In addition, among other things Google Ventures<\/strong> as well as Flextronics<\/strong> will be present in the startup area \u2013 the company that produces over 75 percent of the world's wearables. The experts will primarily provide support to hardware-based startups in the areas of design and engineering.<\/p>\n
