Two Munich-based startups are among those receiving funding.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A total of 14 food startups were selected as contest participants. Now, until November 10, the challenge is to determine which startup attracts the most supporters. The goal is not to raise the highest possible amount, but rather to get the crowd on board. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startnext.com\/paulikocht\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paulikocht #foodporntogo<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startnext.com\/diefrischemanufaktur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Fresh Manufactory \u2013 Fighting Food Waste <\/a>Two Munich startups are also there.<\/p>\n<p>We spoke with Dr. Jenny M\u00fcller and Anna Gruber, the founders of <a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/the-fresh-manufacturer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fresh manufacture, <\/a>spoken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jenny, what do you hope to achieve by participating in the crowdfunding contest?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We hope to find supporters for our fight against food waste.<\/li>\n<li>We want to give our fans the opportunity to get a product from us now.<\/li>\n<li>An important goal, of course, is to use this money to finance our protective atmosphere machine so that we can finally get started.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0What was the biggest challenge in preparing the campaign?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jenny:<\/strong> Honestly, the video. Neither Anna nor I have ever done anything like this before, so it&#039;s a lot of work on a tight budget. A friend lent us the camera, my mom shot most of the footage of us in her garden, and another friend edited it (thanks Chris and Dino!).<\/p>\n<p>I had thought about the script before \u2013 it was revised a few times during filming and editing. But overall, it was really fun, and we&#039;re very happy with the outcome. The winner of the contest is the project that has garnered the most backers for its project by November 10, 2017. The top three places in the ranking based on backers will be rewarded.
