St. Gallen is now also testing parking sensors as part of a pilot project for traffic control, together with the Munich-based startup ParkHere GmbH<\/a>The aim is to demonstrate the potential applications of a smart parking solution and to make parking space management more efficient.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After ParkHere launched a\u00a0 Cooperation with the municipal utilities and the MVG in Munich, <\/a>A collaboration with St. Gallen, Switzerland, now follows.<\/p>\n

Find free parking spaces \u2014 directly and in real time<\/h3>\n

In the future, thanks to the Munich-based company's innovative idea, road users will be able to see which parking spaces are available in real time, thus saving time. Sensors embedded in the ground and triggered when a car is driven over them provide real-time information about parking space availability.<\/p>\n

The system does not rely on any energy source, as it operates autonomously. The startup from the Bavarian capital thus provides a sustainable parking sensor that detects parking space occupancy and simultaneously provides live information.<\/p>\n

This innovative solution contributes to significantly improving the quality of life. Drivers will no longer have to search for a parking space; instead, thanks to ParkHere, they can check availability online and navigate to a parking space directly.<\/p>\n

St. Gallen on the way to becoming a Smart City<\/h3>\n

Felix Harteneck, CEO of ParkHere, is pleased about the cooperation:<\/p>\n

"The ParkHere sensors fully meet the requirements profile. They have a service life of at least 25 years and are also easy to install."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The sensors should also help St. Gallen develop into a smart city with a higher quality of life, the company founder continues:<\/p>\n
