At the Augmented World Expo (AWE) Europe on October 19 and 20, 2017, you can experience AR and VR hands-on. The Munich-based AR company\u00a0 Re'flect<\/a> together with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs brought the tech conference to Munich.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Augmented World Expo (AWE) originally originated in Silicon Valley. But in mid-October, all signs in Munich are also pointing toward virtual and augmented reality. The industry is growing\u2014as evidenced by the record investments of $2.3 billion in the global augmented and virtual reality market last year. In addition, major companies like Apple and Google are embracing the new technologies.<\/p>\n

This is one of the reasons why the number of users is growing rapidly: from the automotive industry, traditional manufacturing, the entertainment sector, and retail. The trade fair aims to address all of these users and industries.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bavaria\u2019s Minister of Economic Affairs and Media, Ilse Aigner, is pleased that the trade fair is taking place in Munich because:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe state of Bavaria offers excellent opportunities for startups and companies in new technologies such as augmented and virtual reality.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is what awaits the participants of the AWE<\/h3>\n

In addition to around 1,500 participants from Germany and abroad, more than 100 top-class speakers and a large number of well-known exhibitors are expected at AWE Europe.<\/p>\n

The special feature of the AWE is the mix of conference and trade fair: Participants can learn more in lectures and panels and test the latest hardware and software solutions directly at the stands.<\/p>\n

But how did the Expo founders come up with the idea?<\/h3>\n

\u201cMunich is an excellent location for us, especially because the state capital is home to not only startups but also medium-sized businesses and larger corporations,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ori Inbar, co-founder of Augmented World Expo, explains the reasons for the decision to come to Munich. He adds:<\/p>\n
