Munich-based Gastrando GmbH, operator of the Gastrozentrale platform, filed for insolvency in May. At least part of the business is now being acquired by Gastro Hero.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The online retailer for catering supplies, Gastro Hero, has acquired the project business of Gastrando GmbH. At least part of the Munich-based e-commerce startup will survive. Gastrando founder Moritz Grumbach<\/strong> expresses surprising optimism:<\/p>\n

"We are delighted to have found the ideal partner in Gastro Hero. With this acquisition, we can take our property business and associated consulting to a new level, not least thanks to the strong brand awareness."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Insolvency administrator is \u201cvery happy\u201d<\/h3>\n

The Munich-based startup Gastrando was founded in 2015 and has raised seven-figure investments, among others from Metro, KfW and Littlerock<\/a>In spring 2017, the startup reportedly ran into financial difficulties due to payment defaults and was forced to file for preliminary insolvency on May 26, 2017.<\/p>\n

The provisional insolvency administrator Dr. Matthias Hofmann<\/strong> comments on the deal:<\/p>\n
