Carsten Maschmeyer will host his own startup show for Sat.1 in the future. Under the (working) title "This is your chance," entrepreneurs will be able to prove themselves starting in spring 2018 and seek Maschmeyer's support as an investor and co-founder. Filming is expected to begin in fall 2017.<\/strong>. An open call is planned for Munich on August 9th.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No business plan, no money, no employees? Apparently, Sat.1 doesn't care, because anyone can apply for the new startup show. The only requirements seem to be that applicants demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and "have mental strength and a passion for their vision."<\/p>\n

No matter if you lack money, knowledge or courage \u2013 anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit can apply<\/h3>\n

Even if courage and knowledge are lacking, the broadcaster's press release states, one should apply. Carsten Maschmeyer is not only an investor and capital provider, but also a respectful mentor. Maschmeyer has already served on the Vox founder show \u201cThe Lion\u2019s Den\u201d <\/a>as investor and jury member.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am convinced that there is enormous entrepreneurial potential in the people of Germany,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

says Maschmeyer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to awaken this entrepreneurial spirit and firmly believe that the person is more important than the product.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the recent past, the investor also found critical words about the startup scene<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Challenge after challenge to get start-up capital<\/h3>\n

The new television show will be structured around various challenges. In these challenges, the founders must prove that they can develop and improve their business idea and entrepreneurial skills week after week. Carsten Maschmeyer will provide the winner with the necessary start-up capital and, as a mentor, will establish a company with them.<\/p>\n

Open Call in Munich on August 9th<\/h3>\n

There will also be an open call for the show on August 9th. <\/strong>Between 10am and 6pm, founders can Mates\u00a0<\/a> drop by and introduce yourself personally to the production company without having to register. Attention: Plan for waiting times! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Those who have a longer journey or are limited in time also have the opportunity to request a time slot in advance. To do so, write an application by August 8th. Email <\/a>with a short introduction about yourself and which city you would like to be in.<\/p>\n
