On June 13, the startups supported by Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) and the project teams from Munich University of Applied Sciences opened their offices and offered a behind-the-scenes look. Around 250 visitors enjoyed the open day, testing prototypes, the chance to interact one-on-one with the founders, and the evening pitch contest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The opening of the open day of the university's own startup incubator was held by University President Prof. Dr. Leitner<\/strong> and the head of start-up support at the SCE, Prof. Dr. Gillig<\/strong>The university president's brief address contained many motivating words for the startups and future founders. The president emphasized that motivating students to think and act entrepreneurially will continue to be of great importance in the future.<\/p>\n

Prototypes put through their paces<\/h3>\n

After the opening speeches, visitors explored the startup booths and took a close look at the individual offices in the incubator. They inspected and tested many different prototypes from the startups. For example, they were able to take a ride on the Ridetronic bike. The retrofit kit from the startup Ridetronic turns any bicycle into an e-bike, offering a unique riding experience.<\/p>\n

In summer temperatures, it was especially popular to use water pistols from Spyra<\/a> tempting. The startup CISBI let visitors sweat it out on their bikes with a workout option. The necessary energy for all the exertion could be obtained from natural energy drinks from Tranquini and the Munich Coffee Roastery.<\/p>\n

Urbo wins the SCE pitch contest<\/h3>\n

In the evening, the open pitch contest took place, with 19 teams competing against each other. The two-minute pitches were judged by the audience. First place went to the startup Urbo<\/strong><\/a> with his pitch for the \u201cpersonal electric vehicle to go\u201d.<\/p>\n
