The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Brigitte Zypries<\/span><\/a>, has on the Congress \u201cYoung ICT 2017\u201d<\/span><\/a> four Startups<\/span><\/span><\/a> from the information and communications technology (ICT) sector was awarded the "ICT Start-up of the Year" prize. At the top of the winner's podium: the Munich-based startup Toposens.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zypries:<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of the promising Innovations<\/span><\/a> and technical innovations, we have provided the German Startup<\/span>scene. This year's ICT<\/abbr>-Start-ups show that we have excellent founders who make our business location successful today and in the future. They are an important driver of digital transformation<\/span><\/a>Because we need exactly such entrepreneurs in Germany, we support these creative minds."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Toposens takes 1st place<\/h3>\n

The prizes went to:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Place: The company Toposens<\/a> <\/strong>from Munich has developed a 3D sensor system based on ultrasound that enables precise detection and positioning of people and objects. The product is used, among other things, in Automotive industry<\/span><\/a>, for example in object recognition during autonomous driving or parking assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2nd place: The Freiburg Startup Telocate<\/span> provides software on mobile devices for precise navigation in confusing, enclosed spaces. Users can use it, for example, at airports, in hospitals or in shopping center<\/span>n find your way around better.<\/p>\n

    3rd place: The FOVEA founding team from Uslar is developing an app for photo-optical measurement of wood piles in the forest. Foresters can use the data to simplify the marketing of the wood.<\/p>\n

    3rd place: The young entrepreneurs from OKINLAB in Saarbr\u00fccken offer the users of their On-line<\/span>-Software offers the possibility to design individual pieces of furniture independently and commission them from local carpenters.<\/p>\n

    Cash prizes of 100,000 euros<\/h3>\n

    The \u201cICT Start-up of the Year\u201d award is given to young companies that emerge from the start-up initiatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy such as the \u201cStart-up competition \u2013 Digital innovations<\/span><\/a>", "EXIST \u2013 Start-ups from science<\/span><\/a>\u201c or the High-Tech Founders Fund<\/span><\/a> or have successfully completed one of the Business<\/span>plan competitions, which are partners of the congress. In addition, the founders must have generated a minimum turnover of 100,000 euros in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n

    The award-winning founders will receive cash prizes totaling \u20ac100,000 to further develop their companies. The first-place team will receive a capital grant of \u20ac50,000. Second place will receive \u20ac30,000, and third place, which was awarded twice this year, will each receive \u20ac10,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
