The survey surveyed 1,000 internet users aged 18 and over, representative of Germany. <\/strong><strong>The 2017 Crowdfunding Barometer shows that crowdfunding is becoming increasingly established. Since 2015, when the survey was first conducted, the surveyed metrics of &quot;awareness,&quot; &quot;understanding,&quot; and &quot;participation&quot; have increased significantly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The survey highlights how widespread crowdfunding has become among the &quot;digital native&quot; generation. Crowdfunding enjoys above-average acceptance among 18- to 29-year-olds. Over 86% of respondents in this age group have heard of crowdfunding, and 21% have already invested financially in a project.<\/p>\n<p>In total, approximately 121,000 respondents have invested financially in a crowdfunding project to date. According to crowdfunding.de, increased public relations, education, and consistent transparency are needed to further tap into crowdfunding potential in Germany.<\/p>\n<h3>The most important results of the Crowdfunding Barometer 2017<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Increasing acceptance of crowdfunding<\/li>\n<li>Two-thirds of respondents have already heard of crowdfunding<\/li>\n<li>Over 35% of respondents know what crowdfunding is<\/li>\n<li>Around 12 % of the respondents participated in a crowdfunding project<\/li>\n<li>Above-average scores for \u201cawareness,\u201d \u201cunderstanding,\u201d and \u201cparticipation\u201d for:\n<ul>\n<li>male respondents<\/li>\n<li>Respondents in young age groups<\/li>\n<li>High-income respondents<\/li>\n<li>Respondents with a high level of education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Kickstarter is the platform with the highest level of awareness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Free download<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowdfunding.de\/crowdfunding-barometer-2017\" target=\"_blank\"><em>You can download the Crowdfunding Barometer 2017 (PDF, 12 pages) and graphics here<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The information portal crowdfunding.de recently published a new study on the social acceptance of crowdfunding.
