Time is running out: Until tomorrow, July 12, you can apply for the WECONOMY start-up initiative<\/a>! Innovative, technology-oriented start-ups once again have the opportunity to discuss their business models with experienced top managers and experts, build a broad network, and advance their ideas with the support of mentors.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

WECONOMY aims to turn good founders into successful entrepreneurs
\nThat is why the business network Wissensfabrik is organizing the start-up competition for the eleventh time, in cooperation with UnternehmerTUM<\/a>, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Munich, as well as the Handelsblatt.<\/p>\n

Profit: Valuable feedback on the business idea<\/h3>\n

A jury chaired by Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker, Chairman of the Advisory Council of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants GmbH, will select up to ten winners from among the applicants. The winners will participate in the WECONOMY weekend, which will take place this year in October at the Wissensfabrik in Stuttgart. There, they will meet with top managers and entrepreneurs from the German economy. From product development to marketing and sales, the founders will receive valuable feedback on their business ideas and an assessment of their corporate strategy in one-on-one meetings. The startup initiative also includes topic-specific WECONOMY days.<\/p>\n

Goal: Expanding the network<\/h3>\n

In face-to-face discussions at three events, the young entrepreneurs will exchange ideas with experts from established companies and intensively explore their own startup idea.<\/p>\n

"Since winning WECONOMY, not only our product and our expertise, but also our network has expanded significantly. Nowhere else do you have the chance to experience so much wealth of experience in one place,"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

says Caroline Dabels<\/strong>, co-founder of Ambi Gate GmbH<\/a> and WECONOMY winner in 2016. Ambi Gate won the startup competition with the development of a video game-based exercise therapy for the home. Other award winners impressed with a system for the fully automated production of complex carbon parts, an intelligent modular system for automating small-part production in low-volume production, and a 3D printer for the high-performance polymer polyetheretherketone.<\/p>\n
