Among them are three Munich-based companies.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>German Accelerator Tech has once again welcomed promising German startups into its mentoring program. In Berlin, in the presence of Federal Minister of Economics Brigitte Zypries, 20 young companies were announced that will have the opportunity to demonstrate their potential in one of the most important international markets this year\u2014under professional guidance and support.<\/p>\n<h3>Make contacts, gain experience, expand know-how<\/h3>\n<p>The German founders have three to nine months to network, expand their know-how, and gain experience in New York, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. They are supported by 150 renowned and experienced mentors. Keynote speaker <strong>Dr. Gero Decker<\/strong>, Managing Director of the business software specialist Signavio and alumnus of the German Accelerator, congratulated the chosen ones:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;Now go to the US and build the next SAP. Good luck!&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The success statistics of the federally funded mentoring program demonstrate that this is a legitimate hope: The selected companies have so far acquired $150 million in funding after completing the program. 92 percent of the startups that were boosted by German Accelerator Tech are still in the market. This five-year record also impressed the Minister of Economic Affairs. <strong>Brigitte Zypries<\/strong>She is pleased that the young companies will ultimately create jobs in Germany through the support of the German Accelerator and that Germany will be strengthened as a center of innovation. A venture capitalist present appreciated the high quality of the selected companies:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI didn\u2019t have many of them on my radar.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Three Munich startups among the winners<\/h3>\n<p>The current German Accelerator winners should be pleased with this trust. They each had 60 seconds to present their companies to the 400 guests at the Berlin Fernsehwerft.
