\u00a0Deutsche Telekom is now expanding its Managed Security Services to include the "Sealed Cloud" offering, leveraging the technology of the Munich-based startup Uniscon<\/a> (based in MTZ)<\/a> in its data centers.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The German high-tech company Uniscon, with just 40 employees, provides the patented data center technology that allows even those with professional secrets to use Telekom's highly secure data centers. The company expects this cooperation to Martin Kinne, CEO of Uniscon GmbH<\/strong> "an exchange of knowledge with Telekom's highly specialized experts, which promises a huge increase in IT and data security in the cloud<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n

Deutsche Telekom's new Telekom Security division aims to become a European leader in managed security services.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith offerings like the \u2018Sealed Cloud\u2019 we are strengthening our position in this field,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

said Dirk Backofen<\/strong>, Head of Telekom Security. Backofen continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to provide customers with solutions that ensure the highest levels of IT and data security.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Uniscon, the Sealed Cloud combines ease of use with high security. The service can apparently even be used by those bound by professional secrecy, such as doctors, lawyers, and government agencies.<\/p>\n

Cloud computing on a new level<\/h3>\n

The background is: The sealing technology ensures, in a purely technical way, that no third party \u2013 not even the service provider \u2013 can access the data. The technical measures include special key distribution, data cleanup in the event of an access attempt, and decorrelation of the data streams flowing into and out of the sealed cloud.<\/p>\n

This sealing technology closes a highly sensitive security gap in typical cloud environments: insider access. Kinne:<\/p>\n

\u201cTechnical measures prevent an employee or anyone in the data center from accessing the data processed on the servers.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
