Interested parties can only take part in the ideas and start-up competition until 31 March Generation D<\/a> We are looking for innovative approaches to social entrepreneurship developed by students and young professionals. For the first time in the competition's nine-year history, social startups are also welcome to participate.

Ideas with social added value<\/h3>\n

The solution of social problems in the areas of Environment, education, health and social society<\/strong> is the focus of Generation D. Awards are given to ideas that are both innovative and creative, while creating social added value.<\/p>\n

Requirements for applying to Generation-D<\/h3>\n

Applicants must also demonstrate entrepreneurial motivation\u2014because only if the idea is implementation-oriented will it be shortlisted. Another important requirement: Per team<\/strong> must at least two students or young professionals<\/strong> who actively contribute to the implementation of the business idea.<\/p>\n

The social enterprise Social-Bee sees itself as a link between employers and low-skilled refugees (\u00a9 Social-Bee\/ Joseph Hagen)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Around 70 teams apply each year, many of them from Munich. Last year's Generation D competition also saw a Munich-based startup take the podium. Social Bee <\/a>was the winner of the category \u201cSocial Society\u201d<\/strong> 2016. The company is a social temporary employment agency that aims to actively integrate recognized refugees into the labor market and society (read an interview with the founders here<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n

What is there to win?<\/h3>\n

Three winning teams have the chance to Prize money<\/strong> totaling 10,000 euros. In addition, the award winners will receive Coaching and workshops<\/strong> by project partners such as Social Entrepreneurship Akademie<\/a>, Go Beyond or Gr\u00fcndungsengel eV The city of Munich is also supporting the competition and will be represented as a juror on the competition jury.<\/p>\n

Generation-D is organized on a voluntary basis by scholarship holders of the Bavarian Elite Academy for students and young professionals throughout Germany.<\/p>\n
