FAZUA GmbH \u2013 development and sales company of the evation drive for e-bikes \u2013 has successfully completed its Series B financing round. The existing shareholders High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds (HTGF)<\/a>, Bavaria Capital<\/a> and five private investors as well as the newly joining entrepreneur Rolf Nied are providing the company with three million euros in the course of a capital increase.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The funding will be used to set up production in Munich, deliver the first orders from well-known bicycle manufacturers, and further strengthen the team. Marcus Schl\u00fcter<\/strong>, Managing Director of FAZUA GmbH<\/a>, says about the successful financing round:<\/p>\n

"We are very pleased about this investment round and the strengthening of FAZUA GmbH. The capital, as well as the valuable know-how and commitment of the shareholders, will enable a strong position in the market."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

FAZUA's frame-integrated drive system enables bicycle manufacturers to push the boundaries of e-bike design, weight and flexibility.<\/p>\n

End customers receive lighter and more visually appealing bicycles with the same performance.<\/p>\n

Both sporty and urban frame concepts are being planned by the first customers and will be introduced in 2017 for the summer season.<\/p>\n

New service, logistics and maintenance concepts<\/h3>\n

Beyond the drive system, FAZUA also intends to become a pioneer in the digitalized value chain in the bike industry with new service, logistics and maintenance concepts.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Erhart<\/strong>, Investment Director of HTGF, confirms:<\/p>\n

"The entrepreneurial team and development partners have continued their excellent work during the development phase, and we are looking forward to the start of series production. Manufacturing such a complex product and reliably delivering it to renowned customers is a very demanding task. The team has managed to make excellent use of the expertise within the shareholder group.
