For the third time, the Creative Demo Night took place last night as part of the Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW). Curated by bayern design, this product and concept show featured around 40 startups, professional agencies, and young designers presenting their innovations provided a brief but compelling overview of current trends and topics in the emerging creative and startup scene. One thing is certain: A lot is happening, true to the evening's motto: Let's move business!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The MCBW is currently in Munich's air. A wide variety of events, exhibitions, and workshops centered around the theme "Design Connects \u2013 The Smart Revolution" are taking place until March 12. The most important question: How can design influence the digital revolution in such a way that everyone is included and no one is left behind?<\/p>\n

Designers create images of the future<\/h3>\n

An exciting question, which was also addressed at the opening of the Creative Demo Night by Dr. Klaus-Peter Potthast,<\/strong> responsible for Digitalization and Media in the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, and Dr. Silke Claus<\/strong>, Managing Director of bayern design GmbH<\/a>Claus is convinced that designers can create very practical visions of the future. Not least because, unlike other creative professionals, they generally pursue a practical, everyday approach, meaning design is always purpose-driven. She therefore sees the digital\u2014or smart\u2014revolution as an opportunity to bring different people and disciplines together.<\/p>\n

What this can look like in concrete terms will be shown in the rear area of the Muffathalle: Here, several startups, agencies, and young designers will present their products and ideas. Many well-known faces will be present, such as Mr. Beam<\/a>, ProGlove<\/a>, leaf republic<\/a>, the Without loading<\/a> or BAM Original<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rethinking everyday life<\/h3>\n

The topic of sustainability also seems to play an increasingly important role in product design, such as leaf republic, the Ohne Laden or Tio Care<\/a> The latter have thought about a product that we all\u2014ideally\u2014hold in our hands at least twice a day: the toothbrush. The Munich-based startup has developed a more environmentally friendly and clever new version of the toothbrush. The USPs of this toothbrush: It is made of bioplastic, the head is replaceable, and the packaging is multifunctional. On Kickstarter, the two production designers and founders of Tio Care have already raised over 40,000 euros for their idea.<\/p>\n
