The fund is expected to reach a total volume of \u20ac70 million. The early-stage financier successfully completed its first closing in January with \u20ac34 million. The fund invests in startups from German-speaking countries in the areas of Industry 4.0 and IoT, B2B software (SaaS), mobility, and smart cities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the new fund, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvcpartners.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">UVC<\/a> its successful investment strategy from the first fund. A key advantage of UVC has proven to be its close ties to <a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/entrepreneurship-gmbh\/\" target=\"_blank\">UnternehmerTUM<\/a> proven.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;This access is a clear unfair advantage for our portfolio companies. No other fund in Germany offers such comprehensive support.&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>explained <strong>Dr. Ingo Potthof<\/strong>, Managing Partner of UVC. <strong>John of Borries<\/strong>, also Managing Partner at UVC, adds:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;Despite our close collaboration, we invest throughout Germany as an independent VC. We can offer these special advantages without being restricted in our investment strategy and decision-making.&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Family offices, entrepreneurs, and industrial corporations are once again relying on UVC&#039;s expertise for the second fund. The new Fund II plans to build a portfolio of 15 to 20 high-growth companies from German-speaking countries. UVC primarily participates as a lead investor in the Seed and Series A phases and typically invests up to \u20ac2 million initially. In subsequent financing rounds, UVC can provide a total of up to \u20ac8 million per startup.<\/p>\n<h3>Many years of experience in the venture capital industry<\/h3>\n<p>The UVC team has many years of experience in the venture capital industry and as successful founders in building young technology companies. The portfolio includes such successful companies as <a href=\"\/en\/success\/flixbus\/\" target=\"_blank\">FlixBus<\/a>, Europe&#039;s leading provider of long-distance coach travel, or<a href=\"\/en\/5054\/entrepreneurship-fund-invests-in-veact\/\" target=\"_blank\"> VEACT<\/a>, a SaaS specialist for marketing processes in the automotive industry.
