In the second \u201cMUST \u2013 The Munich Summit<\/a>"Over 100 tech startups from 20 countries will be coming to Munich in the middle of next week. They plan to network with over 200 industry representatives, investors, and key decision-makers from the ecosystem in the Bavarian metropolis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two days of intensive deal-making at MUST<\/h3>\n

The focus of the conference is deal-making between startups and leading technology companies.<\/p>\n

Pavel Volichenko<\/strong>, Webgears AG, was already present at MUST 2016:<\/p>\n

\u201cMUST Summit is the only event that we've seen that hit the sweet spot of much needed match-making between the industrial corporate world and tech startups.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tina H\u00f6finghoff<\/strong>, Managing Director of the organizer MUC SUMMIT GmbH, describes the special nature of the event as follows:<\/p>\n

"At MUST, we match carefully selected startups with other key players \u2013 deal-making is the clear goal. This is how revolutionary ideas become business reality."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Also Michael Nuremberg<\/strong>, responsible for business development at the French startup AMA, hopes for exactly that, because:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe German market is an important part of our growth strategy, making the Summit an ideal communication platform for AMA.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

MUST was initiated and launched by the three university incubators in Munich: UnternehmerTUM<\/a>, Strascheg Center<\/a> and LMU Entrepreneurship Center<\/a>The motivation was to strengthen the local ecosystem and promote better integration between the startup scene and the established industry.<\/p>\n

Ideas around IoT, e-mobility or AI<\/h3>\n

On February 22 and 23, the startup scene will convene in Munich, augmented by key international stakeholders. On February 22, startups will pitch on topics such as artificial intelligence, IoT, smart mobility, additive manufacturing, autonomous machines, energy efficiency, and digital retail.<\/p>\n

In his keynote speech on the main day of the conference, Mayor Josef Schmid, Head of the Department of Labor and Economic Development, will address the pioneering importance of tech startups for the further development of Munich's economy.<\/p>\n

Challenges meet new business models<\/h3>\n

Workshops are designed to discuss challenges faced by strategic partners. Ideally, they will generate ideas for solutions\u2014and the right people to turn these ideas into reality.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe active participation of each individual participant is required and ensures that sustainable contacts and new projects are created.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The umbrella event MUST will be expanded throughout the year by other topic-specific so-called 'satellites', such as in the area of 3D printing - additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n
