Thanks to the Munich startup opentabs, customers in restaurants and caf\u00e9s could order via app and then pick up their order on site. Information from deutsche-startups.de<\/a> the company has failed and is now being liquidated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the Munich Startup Map<\/a> Opentabs still presented itself confidently as<\/p>\n

"Market leader in mobile ordering and payment." With our app (iOS\/Android), customers can order and pay at their favorite restaurant, and then simply pick up their order on-site without waiting in line!"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In 2014, the High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds (HTGF) also invested in the company. Now opentabs appears to be at its end.<\/p>\n

Two founders had to leave opentabs earlier<\/h3>\n

The first bad news came about a year ago: Two of the three founders, Sebastian Heise and Dirk R\u00f6der, had to leave their company. t3n said<\/a> R\u00f6der at the time:<\/p>\n

"Unfortunately, the business didn't develop as expected, and investors lost patience. The High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds, along with other investors, led the way in demanding drastic austerity measures."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Co-founder Nicolas Pl\u00f6gert was the company's managing director until recently. deutsche-startups.de<\/a> he explains the liquidation of his company:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou shouldn\u2019t keep riding a dead horse.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Since October of this year, Pl\u00f6gert has been working for the company builder \u201cAllianz X\u201d.<\/p>\n
