On September 13, 2016, Munich's mayor, Josef Schmid, together with the managing director of the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Dr. Lothar Semper, the deputy managing director of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Peter Kammerer, and the managing director of MGH, Rudolf Boneberger, laid the foundation stone for the new Gewerbehof Nord at Wilhelmine-Reichard-Stra\u00dfe 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With this 7th commercial yard of the Munich Commercial and Technology Center Company (MGH)<\/a> The Munich industrial park network is now being further expanded. For over 30 years, these have provided manufacturing and trades businesses with space close to the city center. Starting in 2019, approximately 50 small and medium-sized businesses will be able to locate on approximately 11,000 square meters of floor space.<\/p>\n

Traditional businesses meet startups<\/h3>\n

By supporting the new commercial center, the City of Munich is actively committing to Munich as a business location and to maintaining Munich's industry mix. In addition to traditional craft businesses, startups also find suitable premises at the MGH. M\u00fcnchner Technologiezentrum (MTZ)<\/a> a roof over the heads of a large number of technology-oriented, innovative young companies. BayStartUP<\/a> is located in the MTZ.<\/p>\n

But startups have also already settled in the other commercial areas. For example, the founders of Magazine<\/a> at the Laim commercial yard, where they are driving forward their robotics company. Electronics giant Siemens<\/a> has already invested in the young company. The e-bike startup FAZUA<\/a> found his first own premises in the Westend commercial area<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Westend commercial yard also houses the editorial offices of Munich Startup<\/a>The MGH also hosts the official startup portal for Munich.<\/p>\n

Impressive odds \u2013 unbeatable offer<\/h3>\n

The occupancy rate of Munich\u2019s commercial yards is impressive and speaks for itself: 97 percent<\/strong> of the offered space is rented on average, a testament to the great importance of the project for Munich companies.<\/p>\n

The commercial buildings offer space that is otherwise limited in the Munich real estate market. Furthermore, long-term leases at consistently favorable terms provide tenants with planning security.
