Are you a Munich-based startup in the pre-founding or early stages with a technological solution that makes life easier for seniors? Then apply now for the Senovation Award by June 30, 2026!
The competition is aimed at startups and founders with ideas, products and business models for an aging society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early-stage startups founded after June 29, 2022, are eligible. Teams with business ideas that are still in the pre-founding phase can also apply in the Pre-Seed category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call for proposals is broad in scope. It seeks concepts that specifically address the needs of older people or function across generations. According to the call, the crucial factor is that the solutions consider the diverse abilities and requirements of user groups. Projects from all sectors are welcome, regardless of whether they are intended for the B2C or B2B market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frank Leyhausen<\/strong>, initiator of the Senovation Award, appeals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Right now we need creative founders who utilize the opportunities of AI, robotics and sensor technology and develop solutions that correspond to the realities of life for older people and do not perpetuate age stereotypes."<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Apply online, video optional<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The application process is exclusively online via the Form on the competition website<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A multi-stage selection process then begins. In the first evaluation phase, an online panel of senior citizens assesses suitable applications based on short summaries. This assessment considers factors such as novelty, relevance to the older target group, feasibility, as well as security and data protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most successful teams will reach the digital semi-finals and present their business idea in person there on August 5, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two winners and \u20ac5,000 prize money each<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The final is scheduled for September 24, 2026. The pitch will take place in front of a jury of experts from business, research, and demography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two winning teams will each receive \u20ac5,000 in prize money as well as individual coaching. The award is supported by the Signal Iduna Group. The competition's patron is Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Energy and Climate Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
