Bayern Kapital is investing in Secfix for the first time. The Free State of Bavaria's venture and growth capital company is investing in the Munich-based startup through its ScaleUp Fund Bavaria. Startup<\/a> Bayern Kapital has raised a total of \u20ac10.3 million (US$12 million) in its Series A funding round. In addition to Bayern Kapital, lead investor Alstin Capital and existing investor Neosfer, the early-stage investor of the Commerzbank Group, are also participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secfix develops an AI-powered end-to-end platform for security and compliance. Founded in 2021, the company targets SMEs and mid-market companies in Europe. Regulatory complexity is increasing in many industries, while the time and costs associated with certifications are also growing. Smaller companies, in particular, often lack the resources to efficiently meet regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secfix platform<\/a> The startup supports companies in achieving certifications such as ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, and GDPR. Specifically, it offers services including continuous monitoring, incident and access management, security questionnaires, gap analyses, policy reviews, cloud security scans, and comprehensive guidance. Currently, its customer base primarily consists of highly regulated sectors such as banking and finance, and the energy industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capital for expansion and further development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the new capital, Secfix intends to drive forward its European expansion and further develop its AI-based CISO-as-a-Service offering. Fabiola Munguia<\/strong>, CEO and co-founder of Secfix, explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
