Munich-based startup Ark Climate has raised \u20ac2.1 million in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by climate-tech investor Satgana. Other participants include Another VC, the Voyagers Climate Fund, several business angels, and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. This was announced by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ark Climate is developing a cloud-based platform for municipal Climate protection<\/a>. With the new capital, the 12-member team plans to continue growing, expand its presence in the German market, and further develop data models and AI applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Platform for data-driven climate protection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the German Federal Environment Agency, municipalities have considerable potential for reducing emissions. Cities, towns, and districts in Germany could save over 100 million tons of CO2 equivalents. This corresponds to 16 percent of Germany's total emissions. Municipalities are responsible for, among other things, the expansion of district heating networks, cycle paths, and public transport, as well as the energy-efficient renovation of public buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, public administrations face complex decisions. They must consider political objectives, prioritize measures, and involve various stakeholders from politics, administration, and the public. Often, a consistent data basis is lacking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ark Climate gathers relevant information and brings stakeholders together in one digital space. Municipalities can plan climate goals, coordinate measures, and measure progress. Integrated data models analyze energy and emission values and assess the impact of individual measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruth Bosse, <\/strong>Founder and CEO of <\/strong>Startups founded in Munich in 2024, says: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even with limited resources, emissions can be effectively reduced. Furthermore, according to Bosse, the company is working on "further accelerating local climate protection with AI-supported climate intelligence."<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Convinced first-time testers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
