Hypersonica is dedicated to the defense of Europe using hypersonic missiles and has announced two milestones along the way: a \u20ac23.3 million Series A funding round and the successful first hypersonic test flight. Founded in 2023, the company is based in Wessling, Germany, and operates a wholly-owned subsidiary in London. Initially, the company supported the TUM Venture Labs<\/a> the startup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plural led the funding round. The Federal Agency for Groundbreaking Innovations (Sprind) and existing investors General Catalyst and 201 Ventures also participated. With the new capital, Hypersonica is accelerating its roadmap and plans to begin full flight tests in the first quarter of 2026. The company aims to address the demand from NATO member states for high-precision attack capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-step to operational readiness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hypersonica completed its first hypersonic test flight at And\u00f8ya Space in Norway.
