{"id":11608,"date":"2016-06-22T16:25:21","date_gmt":"2016-06-22T14:25:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cms.munich-startup.net\/?p=11608"},"modified":"2024-04-11T14:05:27","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T12:05:27","slug":"crowdsourcing-for-airport-and-trade-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.munich-startup.net\/en\/11608\/crowdsourcing-for-airport-and-trade-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Munich Airport relies on crowdsourcing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\"><p><strong>Messe M\u00fcnchen has been using it for the ISPO sports fair for some time, and Munich Airport has just launched it: its own crowdsourcing platform, developed by <a href=\"\/en\/success\/innosabi-innovation-that-tastes-good\/\">Munich startup innosabi<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crowdsourcing uses new ideas from the online community to create innovative products that are user-oriented and thus tailored to the needs of customers.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>What does the crowd want?<\/h3>\n<p>Everyone is welcome: Creative minds can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.innovationpilot.de\">www.innovationpilot.de<\/a> submit their ideas on various topics. With this crowdsourcing platform, Munich Airport aims to involve visitors and passengers in the conception of new projects and innovative events, giving them the opportunity to implement their own ideas.<\/p>\n<h3>Crowdsourcing: Everything is conceivable, much is possible<\/h3>\n<p>In its first crowdsourcing project, Munich Airport is seeking suggestions for a new highlight event at the MAC Forum until July 17. The crowd&#039;s ideas are limitless. Major sporting events such as the European Surfing Championships have already taken place there. Anything is conceivable, and many things are possible.<\/p>\n<p>The submitted proposals will be evaluated by a jury based on creativity and feasibility.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&quot;We are convinced that our customers and airport fans have numerous innovative ideas about how we can improve things here at Munich Airport. We want to use precisely this collective creativity and intelligence to become even more attractive to our customers,&quot;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>J\u00f6rg Ebbighausen, Head of Corporate Development at Munich Airport, explains the idea behind the crowdsourcing platform.<\/p>\n<h3>Listening \u2014 and developing goal-oriented products<\/h3>\n<p>The ISPO Open Innovation Platform has repeatedly demonstrated how crowdsourced innovation can create new business models. Messe M\u00fcnchen is thus establishing itself as a partner for innovation projects.<\/p>\n<p>With over 15,500 users, 17 projects have been implemented to date. For example, jackets and hiking boots have been newly developed in collaboration with product developers from outdoor clothing companies. Product testing of prototypes is also popular: The active community writes up to 250 test reports for the innovation platform every day, thus providing inspiration for product improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Following the success at ISPO, such a system was also developed for the construction machinery trade fair bauma at the beginning of 2016. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bauma.de\/messe\/aussteller\/bauma-open-innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovation platform<\/a> developed.<\/p>\n<h3>Analogue supplemented by digital<\/h3>\n<p>The innovation platforms are an important step for both the trade fair and the airport to make their analogue offerings more innovative and attractive through digital components.
