The European life science conference Biovaria is holding its proven pitch format<\/a> Biovaria has launched a new program and is now accepting applications for its revised "Biovaria Startup Pitch & Partner" program until February 15, 2026. Interested biotech, medtech, and digital health startups can present their innovations to investors and industry representatives and hope to win the "BioVaria Startup Award." Prize money of up to \u20ac2,000 is up for grabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible applicants include early teams in the pre-seed phase, companies founded within the last four years, and growth-oriented startups interested in follow-on financing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From all applications, a jury of leading venture capitalists, technology transfer organizations, and industry experts will select up to 15 startups. These startups will present their business ideas live on the Biovaria main stage and network with investors and established companies in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. The program will be complemented by speed-dating sessions and individual meetings with potential investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prize money is tiered: \u20ac1,000 is awarded in the "Emerging" segment, and \u20ac2,000 in the "Rising" segment. Winners also benefit from media attention and access to an investor network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A platform for biotech startups <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The event is considered one of Europe's leading platforms for life science technology transfer and startup presentations, serving as an interface between science, the startup scene, and investors. With its new pitch format, Biovaria lowers the barrier to entry for early-stage and growth-oriented companies seeking visibility and investor connections. The combination of a stage, jury evaluation, prize money, and intensive networking offers a structural opportunity to develop marketable solutions from research projects. The program specifically addresses the needs of startups that have either just been founded or are preparing for their next funding round. Ascenion and Max Planck Innovation are responsible for the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
