The startup develops under the Precision brand. <a href=\"https:\/\/precision-food.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dairy products<\/a> the next generation and is attracting investors from the venture capital scene, the food industry, and top-level sports. Among those contributing to the round are the VC firm Elemental, entrepreneurs such as Stefan Tewes, Marc-Aurel Boersch, and Mic Weigl, as well as several well-known athletes \u2013 including Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fabio Labriola<\/strong>, co-founder of Precision Labs, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a strong signal that we were able to close our round oversubscribed in this market environment. It shows that investors and consumers are ready to rethink milk \u2013 by questioning traditional categories and embracing innovative solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Precision: Innovation focus and technology approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The startup will use the capital for market development in Germany and Austria, for research and development, and for expanding its own brand. At its core is a product approach that combines high-quality milk protein with plant-based ingredients \u2013 without preservatives. This first milk alternative combines taste, creamy texture, and foaming ability with a reimagined nutritional profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In parallel, the team is working on completely cow-free dairy products. These are based on a nature-identical milk protein produced through precision fermentation \u2013 a technology already approved in the USA, Israel, and Singapore. Precision expects EU approval in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Marc-Aurel Boersch<\/strong>, investor and former CEO of Nestl\u00e9 Germany, emphasizes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPrecision has the potential to establish a new category in the dairy market. The team combines entrepreneurial experience with a clear vision for healthier and more sustainable nutrition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prominent support from the world of sports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Several top athletes are also participating in the discussion: \u0130lkay G\u00fcndo\u011fan, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Malaika Mihambo, Dominic Thiem, and Laura Philipp. Their motivations range from sustainable nutrition to the search for functional products for everyday performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olympic long jump champion <strong>Malaika Mihambo<\/strong> explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWhen I think about my jumps, I want to be as clean and powerful as possible. And that also applies to what I eat and drink. Precision shows that milk can be reimagined \u2013 with valuable proteins, an improved nutritional profile, and a significantly lower environmental impact. For me, this is the nutrition that aligns with my values.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Elemental also sees long-term potential. Managing Partner <strong>Marc Schmidheiny<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe invest in founders who have the courage to rethink markets. Precision Labs is hitting the mark \u2013 with a clear focus on health, sustainability and uncompromising taste.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Precision Labs&#039; milk alternative is already available in its own online shop and in selected Edeka supermarkets in southern Germany and Hamburg. A nationwide rollout is planned for 2026, as is expansion into Austria. Looking ahead, the startup plans to offer milk-based drinks, yogurt and cheese alternatives, and, in the long term, products that, thanks to precision fermentation, are completely free of animal ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Munich-based Precision Labs has raised over four million euros in seed capital.
