German Startup Monitor \u2013 More AI, less capital:<\/strong> Despite the strained economy, the German startup scene is developing dynamically in 2025. More and more founders see the country on the up compared to other countries. 45 percent of startups state that AI is at the heart of their product \u2013 a significant increase compared to 2024. DeepTech startups now account for 11 percent, and DefenseTech is experiencing record growth with almost \u20ac900 million in investments. However, the capital base remains weak.
