The Munich-based deep-tech startup, which develops scalable photonic quantum sensors, is receiving a mid-six-figure sum as part of the financing. In addition to Bayern Kapital, Vetos GmbH, DI Beteiligungs GmbH, and WN Invest GmbH are also involved as co-investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15 years of research experience at Munich Quantum Instruments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2022, MQI specializes in single-photon detectors, i.e., measuring devices for detecting light particles (photons). This technology forms a central component in applications in quantum communication, quantum computing, and optical quantum sensing. The sensors developed by MQI combine high quality with industrial scalability, enabling cost-efficient manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MQI&#039;s founding team brings over 15 years of research experience in the field of quantum sensing, combining this expertise with industry knowledge and startup expertise. Investors believe this combination provides a solid foundation for the company&#039;s long-term success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fast-growing industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The market environment is considered dynamic and fast-growing: Although the quantum industry is still in its infancy, it is developing rapidly. Startups like MQI have the opportunity to position themselves early on with technological innovation and excellent teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another success factor is the consortium of experienced business angels that came on board with the pre-seed round.
