The Funke Media Group strengthens its commitment in the regional job board market and takes over the Munich Startup<\/a> Everbay. Founded in 2020, the company offers AI-powered social recruiting solutions and is one of the emerging players in the German HR tech sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team, led by the three founders Peter Kirchner, Matthias Oden, and Martin Pl\u00f6ckl, develops digital tools that support the entire recruiting process\u2014from approaching potential candidates to coordinating interviews. Their in-house AI assistant, "Anna," handles tasks such as GDPR-compliant contact, data management, interviewing, and appointment scheduling. CTO Peter Kirchner<\/strong> explained:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Our goal is to relieve HR professionals of their daily workload. They should be able to focus on what really matters: hiring the right people. We'll take care of the rest."<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Everbay\u2019s technological basis convinces Funke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the acquisition is Everbay's proprietary technology. The AI analyzes the performance of ongoing social campaigns in real time and automatically decides on budget allocations. This allows the optimal channel mix to be dynamically compiled from platforms such as Meta, Google, or international networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

says Alexander Pelka<\/strong>, CEO of the newly formed Regio-Jobgruppe within the Funke Media Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Everbay founders also see the acquisition as an important step. COO Matthias Oden<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Recruiting can't consist of isolated solutions if you want to be successful as an employer in the battle for talent today. Becoming part of a comprehensive, integrated offering is exactly what we wanted for Everbay."<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

And CSO Martin Pl\u00f6ckl<\/strong> added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The takeover<\/a> The acquisition will be retroactive to the beginning of the year. Both parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The team of approximately ten people will remain based in Munich and will continue to operate as an independent brand under the Funke Group umbrella.
