1st place:<\/strong> The Munich-based technology company Quantum Systems<\/strong> was able to Financing round of 160 million euros<\/a> successfully completed its first round of funding, securing unicorn status. The Series C round was led by Balderton Capital. Other new investors include Hensoldt, Airbus Defence and Space, Bullhound Capital, and LP&E AG. Existing investors HV Capital, Project A, Peter Thiel, DTCP, Omnes Capital, Notion, and Porsche SE also participated again. With this financing, the Munich-based company intends to accelerate its global expansion, scale production capacities, and further develop its autonomous drone systems, software, and AI technologies. 2nd place:<\/strong> CedarDB<\/strong> has a Seed investment of 5.3 million euros<\/a> The financing round was led by Amplify Partners. Several well-known angel investors also supported the young company, including Hanno Renner, CEO of Personio, and Jordan Tigani, CEO of Motherduck. The startup is developing a modern database system that combines speed, versatility, and efficiency in a single platform. The system replaces complex data stacks with a unified solution that supports various data formats \u2013 relational, graph, and document-based \u2013 and is suitable for both business analytics and AI applications. The financing represents a key building block for the startup's continued growth \u2013 both in terms of personnel and technology. With the fresh capital and an experienced investor network behind it, CedarDB aims to expand its position in the market for modern data infrastructure. 3rd place:<\/strong> Ororatech<\/strong> was able to complete his Series B financing round totaling 37 million euros<\/a> In addition to existing investors such as Bayern Kapital, which participated again through the ScaleUp Fund Bayern, other investors also joined the project. These included the BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund as lead investor, Rabo Ventures, Edaphon, and the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF). The company had previously raised \u20ac25 million. Ororatech develops satellite-based solutions for the detection and risk assessment of wildfires. They use specially developed, multispectral thermal imaging cameras installed on nanosatellites \u2013 barely larger than a shoebox. Using artificial intelligence, the Wildfire Intelligence Solution analyzes thermal data, identifies potential fire sources, and simulates their subsequent behavior.
