The competition is organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exclusive access to the future exascale supercomputer Jupiter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of the <a href=\"\/en\/category\/competitions\/\">Competition<\/a> is to advance the development of generative AI models in order to sustainably support Germany as a technology and business location. The competition is run by the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) together with the J\u00fclich Supercomputing Centre (JSC). The AI competition aims to promote projects that not only effectively utilize Jupiter&#039;s powerful technology but also demonstrate a high degree of social impact to ensure knowledge transfer and practical implementation. As part of the Gauss-AI-Compute Competition, researchers are granted exclusive access to the J\u00fclich Supercomputing Centre&#039;s future exascale supercomputer Jupiter for a limited period of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested researchers working at German universities, colleges, or other research institutions are invited to participate. Commercial companies collaborating with German educational and research institutions are also welcome to participate, as are German federal, state, and local governments and other social organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submit project proposals by March 17<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the exascale computer goes into operation, a total of approximately 15 million GPU hours of computing time will be available.
