Led by State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt, a delegation will travel to Romania and the Republic of Moldova from May 14 to 17, 2025. The goal of the trip is to open up new opportunities for Bavarian companies in an attractive international market. The travel program and political support will provide diverse opportunities for networking and exploring relevant markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation trip is aimed at managing directors of startups and companies in the field of Smart Industry<\/a>, particularly mechanical engineering, plant engineering, and digitalization. The business delegation will be offered opportunities for discussions and a dialogue forum with important institutions and companies. Furthermore, an exchange of experiences and networking opportunities with Bavarian companies already established in Romania and Moldova, as well as company visits, are planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romania as an attractive business location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As an investment location, Romania scores highly with its strategically favorable location, above-average economic growth, low labor costs, and a network of attractive industrial zones. Bavarian investors are increasingly transferring higher-value added value to their Romanian subsidiaries. Romania is an attractive location for nearshoring, software development, and IT services. At the same time, Romania still has some catching up to do in areas such as infrastructure development, environmental technology, and energy efficiency. The Bavarian economy has a high level of expertise in these areas, which offers excellent business opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bilateral trade relations between Bavaria and Romania have been growing steadily for years. With a trade volume of \u20ac8.3 billion, Romania is among Bavaria's top 15 economic partners worldwide. The Free State of Bavaria, in turn, is one of Romania's most important trading partners and a significant investor in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to make the delegation trip work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Startups and companies can participate without obligation at the Website of Bayern International<\/a> express their interest in the delegation trip. Those interested will then receive an invitation to participate and further information about the trip and registration. The number of participants is limited; selection is subject to availability, depending on industry affiliation and specific concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses (flights and accommodations), as well as for any individual program.
