\"Camperboys<\/a>
1st place: <\/strong>The Munich startup Off<\/strong>, formerly known as Camperboys, has filed for insolvency. A failed financing round made this step necessary; the founders are hoping for new investors. The camper rental company was founded in 2016 as a project by two students and developed into a successful travel tech company. Eight years later, that appears to be over: The company has filed for insolvency proceedings with the Munich District Court. The provisional insolvency administrator is Baker Tilly partner and attorney Dr. Alexander Fridgen. The stated goal is to continue the business together with new investors<\/a>. \"Lanin<\/a>
2nd place:<\/strong> Second place this month goes to Lanin Labs<\/strong> with its appearance on "The Lion's Den." The Munich-based startup focuses on inclusive skin care and has developed a skincare serum that specializes in melanin-rich skin. Melanin is the biological pigment that, among other things, determines skin color. Simply put: the more melanin, the darker the skin type. Darker skin types have the advantage of aging much more slowly. At the same time, however, the skin has a harder time absorbing moisture and active ingredients in the lower layers of the skin, which often leads to dryness and blemishes. Founder Azuka Stekovics offered 30 percent of her company shares in the Lion's Den for 130,000 euros. The Lions were impressed by the idea but had some criticism of the execution. 3rd place:<\/strong> Another insolvency announcement makes it into our monthly top 5. The Spacetech Union<\/strong> has filed for insolvency at the Munich District Court and is now, with the help of its provisional Insolvency administrator looking for new investors<\/a>The trigger for the company's crisis was the lack of follow-up financing from its shareholders. Unio was founded in 2022 as a joint venture between Isar Aerospace (development and construction of rockets), Reflex Aerospace (construction of satellites), Mynaric (communication via laser beams), and SES (satellite operator). Since then, the Munich-based startup has developed a proprietary technology designed to enable seamless high-speed internet coverage through a combination of 5G telecommunications and satellite networks. 4th place:<\/strong> We remain in fourth place with the topic of investor search. Because the multi-award-winning Munich startup Inveox<\/strong> is insolvent and is looking for new sources of money after a financing default<\/a>The Munich District Court has granted the insolvency application and appointed attorney Marc-Andr\u00e9 Kuhne as provisional insolvency administrator. Kuhne has already initiated a structured investor process in cooperation with the M&A consulting firm Falkensteg. The goal is to preserve the company's technology and as many of the 20 jobs as possible. Inveox has been working on improving the processing of tissue samples, particularly for cancer diagnostics, through innovative technology since 2017. \"Planqc\"<\/a>
5th place:<\/strong> Fifth place this month goes to Planqc<\/strong> and its newly opened headquarters. The Munich-based quantum computing startup is now developing and building quantum computers in a former hardware store on 1,400 square meters of renovated laboratory and office space. Currently, several computers are being built there for government contractors<\/a>Planqc's quantum computers store information in individual atoms; the technology is based on award-winning research at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ). This also distinguishes the Munich-based company's approach from that of other companies. Unlike other models, Planqc's quantum computers also operate at room temperature, and the power they require comes from a wall outlet. Furthermore, the Munich-based company's approach is considered particularly scalable and shows great potential on the path to error-corrected quantum computers.
