Munich Startup: <\/strong><\/em>What does your startup do? What problem does Jambo solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Seiss, founder and managing director of Jambo<\/em>Jambo is a sustainable brand for handmade children's clothing. We offer cross-generational and cross-cultural employment opportunities and contribute to solving poverty among the elderly and social isolation by providing meaningful and paid employment to seniors and people with a migrant background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup: <\/strong><\/em>But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Seiss<\/em>: Of course, there's sustainable children's fashion, but at Jambo, we combine local production with social inclusion. Our products are not only environmentally friendly, they also create social added value \u2013 and there can never be enough social projects. We also strive to act sustainably in all areas: We reuse packaging boxes, deliver within Munich by subway, and use only Oeko-Tex certified fabrics.<\/p>\n\n\n

Julia Seiss<\/em>: Jambo was born out of the desire to create social integration through cross-cultural and cross-generational exchange in an increasingly anonymous society, while counteracting the high cost pressures of big cities. Our passion for sewing has given us a strong affinity for sustainable and handmade fashion. And what could be more beautiful than bringing together things that are dear to our hearts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Seiss<\/em>: The biggest challenge was to combine craftsmanship and social inclusion while ensuring sustainable materials and fair production conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup: <\/strong><\/em>How are things going? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julia Seiss<\/em>: Since Jambo is still a young startup, we are currently focusing on expanding our production and distributing our clothing through online sales and local channels. We aim to have established a stable distribution network within a year. In five years, we plan to be known throughout Germany. It would be great if more locations for this project could be established in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
