Munich Startup:<\/em> What is your career path so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>I studied industrial engineering in Munich and subsequently pursued a successful career in strategic partner management at various corporations. My path led me to the position of "Head of" before I decided to found my own startup in 2017. Since then, I have been passionately involved in the startup scene, both with my own projects and as a consultant to startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> What motivated you to invest in startups?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>From my own experience, I know how challenging it can be, especially for female founders, to secure investment in the early stages. Therefore, I want to provide targeted support. I'm passionate about contributing to fostering future innovation, and I believe that startup investments are a powerful tool for achieving real impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: Passionately involved in the startup scene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Which technology or industry do you personally find particularly interesting at the moment?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>I find the Medtech industry<\/a> I'm particularly excited about this topic at the moment. A tremendous amount is happening here, and new technologies are being implemented in concrete applications. I'm also interested in ideas that develop solutions to address the challenges of demographic change. Nevertheless, I'm always open to innovations from various fields and am happy to be inspired by solutions that have a tangible impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> In your opinion, what advantages do diverse founding or VC teams bring?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>Diversity always brings different views and opinions. This leads to teams being open to different perspectives. This enriches every team and contributes to the success of startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> What are your three favorite work tools?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: Conny Marx: <\/em>Canva, Trello and Google Workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Your top tip on pitching?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>Keep it as simple as possible so everyone can understand what it's about. Stay cool and authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Does this seem like a good time to start a business? Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>I believe that if you have a good idea to solve a specific problem, you should act on it, regardless of the current "times." Even if we are in a phase of crisis, that shouldn't deter you. Because it is precisely in times like these that very good ideas and successful startups often emerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlso promote innovations that have a social or societal benefit\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> In your opinion, what could be improved at Munich as a startup location?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>I think Munich should focus more on promoting innovations that have a social or societal benefit. Along with all the impressive technological advances, this is an area that I believe is extremely important, but unfortunately receives far too little support and investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Which investor would you like to meet in person? And what would you ask them?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conny Marx: <\/em>Through the Female Investors Network<\/a> I have been fortunate enough to meet many inspiring female investors. I am always looking forward to personal meetings with Katja Ruhnke <\/a>and Conny H\u00f6rl.
