Following the signing of the contract between MP Biogaz and Orcan Energy in early 2023, Orcan Energy<\/a> its heat-to-power system to MP Biogaz in Beux, France, in October 2023. Since commissioning in February 2024, the energy module has already produced nearly 400 MWh of electricity and saved nearly 300 tons of CO2 to date, according to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MP Biogaz<\/a> produces renewable energy from cow manure and agricultural materials that would normally be wasted. Orcan Energy's solution will enable MP Biogaz to produce even more clean energy. The biogas company is now converting its previously unused waste heat into electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUse existing energy on site in the best possible way\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the opening ceremony in Beux, MP Biogaz welcomed, among others, a representative of the Franco-German Chamber of Commerce and Sophie Heitz, a senior expert at the German Energy Agency (dena). dena is supporting Orcan Energy's market entry in France with advice, expertise, and its network, as well as by promoting marketing activities. The Renewable Energy Solutions project "Land" is being funded as part of the Renewable Energy Solutions program of the Energy Export Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julien Pidolle<\/strong>, CEO of MP Biogaz, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"The core idea of our biogas plant is to utilize energy that would otherwise go unused. Therefore, it's a logical step to also exploit our waste heat potential and thus make the best possible use of our existing energy on site."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst important step on the French market\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jean-Pierre Melchior<\/strong>, Partner & Technical Officer at MP Biogaz, adds: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Orcan Energy's solution was easy to install and quickly operational. Our thanks go to the entire Orcan team for enabling us to convert our waste heat into clean electricity just one year after signing the contract."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
