What are the reasons for this? One thing is certain: This must change, or important potential will be lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-9276\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.munich-startup.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/hercareer.gif\" alt=\"hercareer\" width=\"200\" height=\"70\" \/>What if women were given much more support to think bigger? <a href=\"http:\/\/her-career.com\/content\/index_ger.html\" target=\"_blank\">herCAREER<\/a> This is where it comes in. Women are given opportunities to exchange ideas, think bigger about their projects and ideas, and plan them. The opportunity to exchange ideas with successful female entrepreneurs should not only allow them to expand their network, but also provide them with crucial tips and contacts for a successful start.<\/p>\n<p>Just one-third of founders in Germany are female \u2013 and the trend is only slightly increasing. As is so often the case, the crux of the matter lies in the details: While it sometimes appears as if the number of female founders is increasing, it is also clear that women are less likely to pursue innovative ideas \u2013 and in doing so, they also invest significantly less capital and generate correspondingly lower revenue.<\/p>\n<h3>Lack of role models in the startup scene<\/h3>\n<p>One reason for this is certainly that women often lack role models in the startup scene. A study by the Institute for Employment Research from last year made it clear once again: &quot;Role models are very important for the decision to become self-employed.&quot; And they are especially lacking for women. But that&#039;s not all: Numerous studies show <strong>Women start and lead businesses differently. But not necessarily worse.<\/strong> On the contrary: they start up more cautiously, but their business plans are much more well thought out and their companies generally stay on the market longer than those of men.<\/p>\n<p>At herCAREER, women can interact with already successful female founders \u2013 and speak with them on an equal footing. Lea-Sophie Cramer, the founder of Amorelie, who became a mother just last year \u2013 just a few months after ProSieben.Sat1 acquired a 75 percent stake in the startup \u2013 has already confirmed her participation.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Alex from Outfittery says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;<strong>Women have incredible potential for leadership positions \u2013 all they need is a certain amount of courage.<\/strong> Through networking and sharing experiences, events like herCAREER can provide the confidence needed to launch your career. I&#039;m really looking forward to encouraging attendees on their career paths and sharing my wealth of experience with them.&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>herCAREER is the first and only trade fair in Germany that takes into account all aspects of female and family career planning<\/strong> \u2013 and picks up women where they are at the moment: before their first job, before changing jobs or before starting their own business. <strong>It will be held for the second time on 13 and 14 October in Munich<\/strong>The patrons include Federal Minister for Family Affairs Manuela Schwesig and Ilse Aigner, Deputy Prime Minister of Bavaria and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/her-career.com\/content\/index_ger.html\" target=\"_blank\">Further information about the fair can be found here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of women founding companies is growing only slowly.
