Truckoo is a young tech startup founded in December 2019, based in Munich and financed by well-known German investors. Our vision is to digitize the current structure of the used commercial vehicle trade and become the digital, Europe-wide purchasing platform for used commercial vehicles and construction equipment.<\/p>\n

Today's analog approach to buying and selling used commercial vehicles and construction machinery is very time-consuming and costly, margins are smaller, and the risk of mispricing is significantly higher\u2014all in all, it's simply no longer sustainable. A dealer in Germany is currently storing 40% of its vehicle inventory on his yard for over a year and is seeking export customers via undifferentiated platforms. The phrase "final price" used by export brokers is a tiresome everyday occurrence\u2014the good condition and thus the higher price cannot be communicated to distant customers.
\nThe local German retailer has no means of directly influencing export companies. What do they need? What is their budget? What are they looking for in three months? Customer proximity and knowledge of current demand are lacking.
\nOur analysis of the problem is the inherent structure of the used car trade. The vehicles are purchased locally, parked locally in Germany, and then offered to international customers via platforms. Prices are quoted based on individual reviews\u2014and margins are sometimes completely overestimated.<\/p>\n
