Detailed urine diagnostics, which form the basis for adequate treatment, are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and resource-intensive. Incorrect or often unnecessary administration of antibiotics prolongs treatment times, increases the risk of complications, and promotes the emergence of antibiotic resistance.<\/p>\n<p>BugSense is developing a paper-based test that is sustainable, affordable, scalable, and easy to use. The test is designed to reliably identify UTI-causing pathogens in urine and potential antibiotic resistance.
