Intelligent service robots will assist us in boring or dangerous tasks in the future and will increasingly penetrate our workplaces and our homes. A key capability of such robots is the planning of movements based on visual recognition of their surroundings.
Visevi Robotics offers computer vision solutions for service robots with manipulation capabilities (arm/gripper). We make the camera the essential sensor to massively reduce complexity elsewhere. Our multi-patented camera-based sensor technology, for example, is aimed in this direction. We use it to replace hardware sensors on the robot with virtual software sensors. Current areas of application include logistics, e-commerce, and later also food/farming. We are a spin-off from the former EXIST research transfer center RoVi Robot Vision at the Technical University of Munich.
