Omegga is developing a non-invasive technology for early sex determination in hatching eggs to end chick culling.
To this end, the company uses an AI-supported spectral measurement method that precisely and cost-effectively determines the sex of chicken embryos before the seventh day of incubation. Omegagga's approach thus goes far beyond current animal welfare laws. It provides egg-laying farms with an alternative to the culling of hatched male chicks or their resource-intensive rearing.
