It was constantly said that business travel would not recover from Covid and that the numbers would continue to decline – yet according to a VDR analysis, 75.1 million business trips were recorded in Germany in 2022 alone. And the trend is rising! However, this also means that the digital transformation in travel management must be urgently advanced. For example, if a business trip needs to be organized, everything must be compiled across multiple platforms and providers, and the expenses must then be submitted to HR. For extensive trips, this can easily take several hours.

Veit Blumschein and Daniel Nolte were also aware of this problem and founded Lanes & Planes – an all-in-one solution for business travel – in 2017. The tool offers a comprehensive software solution for companies to efficiently manage travel services, bookings, invoicing, and expense reports. Companies benefit from comprehensive reporting functions and secure rights management according to their policies, while saving up to 331,000 euros in costs.

Big players like Enpal, Personio, Edding, eGym and Spendit AG are already using the Lanes & Planes tool.
