Find roommates in Munich with heyroom who really suit you.
In Germany alone, around 4.6 million people currently live in shared apartments, including around 150,000 in Munich.
But when the roommate moves out, the worst part of shared apartment life begins: finding someone who fits in here, in our home, our self-chosen family.
Hours of trawling through seemingly endless copy-paste texts, countless shared apartment castings and regular disappointments about rejections are the sad everyday life of shared apartments looking for new roommates.
We at heyroom believe that this no longer has to be the case!
Using profile tags, each shared flat/user creates their own individual profile; “running, student, vegan, LGTBQ+ friendly, food, dance” could be a description of their own “vibe.”
The biggest advantage: When there are a lot of inquiries, the shared flat can see directly from the “vibe score” who is the best fit, a benefit for the applicants too.
There is also a clear map for finding shared rooms, detailed apartment advertisements and exciting user profiles, which, in addition to the “vibe”, contain information such as pictures, short texts and integrated social media profiles.
The React Native-based app (Android, IOS) will go live in fall 2022, and the pre-launch has already started on Instagram.
