Today's economy is heavily dependent on online shopping, so global parcel shipping volumes are expected to grow by 50 billion to up to 250 billion parcels per year over the next five years. To process this enormous volume, the e-commerce, courier, express, and parcel industries depend on outstanding efficiency, particularly in their intralogistics systems. However, problems in the physical material flow of these facilities frequently occur, reducing throughput by 15 billion, causing approximately 1 billion in lost profits due to damage, and delaying the ramp-up of new sites by up to three months. This is where the FLOW eye monitoring system can help.

By leveraging the latest computer vision technologies, the FLOW eye revolutionizes transparency in intralogistics. It is capable of continuously tracking conveyed goods, thereby detecting, predicting, and preventing anomalies in the physical material flow. The installation is completely non-disruptive and operates independently of the conveyor's OEM.

It is capable of precisely locating anomalies such as blockages, duplicates, damage, theft, manual errors, and others in real time, detecting patterns, identifying triggers, and making predictions. By interacting with the conveyor's control system, it can generate commands to reroute or align items or trigger emergency system stops. The FLOW eye's knowledge is not only site-specific; it also learns from other detections within the network.

All of this performance data can be analyzed in a real-time KPI dashboard, which also allows for customizable reports. Based on these insights, the occurrence and location of common anomalies are automatically evaluated as a basis for system improvements. The mobile app notifies users of all incidents, including their exact locations, eliminating the need to search for them themselves.

FLOW eye increases the efficiency of intralogistics systems by increasing throughput and ramp-up speed and minimizing costly downtime, complaints and returns.
