Artificial intelligence will gradually but permanently change our everyday lives, our work and our leisure time, so that many researchers and philosophers are already asking themselves: When will machines be superior to humans and take control?
We still control artificial intelligence. McKinsey consultants see enormous growth potential in AI: By 2030, German GDP could be 4 percent higher with AI than without it – a tremendous economic gain. This is the conclusion of the study "Smartening up with Artificial Intelligence (AI) – What's in it for Germany and its Industrial Sector?"
We invite everyone to the #KiCamp to discuss this and other AI topics with us. We are addressing AI researchers, AI startups, AI thinkers, AI funders, AI funders, AI security experts, and, of course, laypeople interested in AI. We want every participant to leave with new visions and ideas, to have seen how others do things, and to have made exciting new contacts.
And of course, we hope for many participants who would like to present a project, a new theory, or a question about the future and discuss it with others, as is usual at a Barcamp.
What is a Barcamp?
A #Barcamp is a conference with an open agenda. This means that anyone who would like to contribute suggests their topic during the introductory session. The agenda and room allocation are then decided upon together, and a schedule is created on a session wall. We have five session rounds and three rooms, resulting in a total of 15 events.
Barcamp newcomers are also welcome. You'll learn how the process works at the beginning of the introductory session. Every participant is welcome to lead a session themselves. This can be either a presentation or simply as a moderator for a spontaneous discussion.
