On July 21, 2019, the time has come again: the doors of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen will open for all those hungry for knowledge.
In addition to numerous interesting lectures, tours, and demonstrations at the institutes, guests can expect a varied supporting program. Lectures and discussions will focus not only on memories of the first astronaut's moon landing 50 years ago, but also on the future. A diverse space show by the DLR_School_Lab on the program stage will provide visitors with exciting and educational insights into how weightlessness works, for example.
In good weather, the aviation group offers the opportunity to watch the action from above on a sightseeing flight with gliders and motorized aircraft.
All young researchers can test their knowledge in the children's quiz on open day. We also offer a painting and crafts corner, as well as other exciting activities, to which the volunteer fire department and the Bavarian Red Cross also contribute.
The DLR staff restaurant and numerous food and beverage stalls will cater for your culinary needs. There will also be live music from two bands and a DJ.
