#MucGov17 BarCamp

Digital City – Ideas, Projects, Apps

The Barcamp #MucGov17 brings together the city administration, the Munich Adult Education Center, and citizens. Under the motto "Digital City – Ideas, Projects, Apps," the discussion will address how to shape the future of Munich's digital offerings. It will also explore how digital media can improve living conditions and the quality of life in our city.

Administration meets citizens meets digitalization

Munich's citizens are increasingly living digital lives. Communication, leisure, culture, work, learning, and life – our world is hard to imagine without digital media. Digitalization doesn't just mean passive consumption. Rather, it enables collaborative development processes and co-production, as well as participation and transparency.

No one can escape these developments – not even the Munich city administration. The question is how citizens and the city administration can work together to harness the advantages of the digital world for Munich.

What is a BarCamp?

A BarCamp is an open conference with open workshops and thrives on the active participation of all participants. Through the exchange of experience and knowledge, new ideas can emerge and projects can be launched together.

Your topics are in demand

The #MucGov17 BarCamp means that you propose the topics to be worked on. You have one minute to introduce yourself and your proposal. The participants' interest determines which sessions will be held. The session leader then becomes the moderator of their topic and leads the 45-minute sessions.
