Satellite communication and navigation – but sovereign: At the summit of the Bavarian M+E employers' associations bayme vbm, we demonstrate how Europe, Germany and Bavaria can secure sovereignty and independence in space.
The current space race and the deployment of strategic satellite systems not only determine the ability to defend oneself in international conflicts. It also forms the basis for a reliable internet connection should the wired communication network fail or be damaged by sabotage.
Furthermore, autonomous European satellite systems strengthen the operational continuity of domestic companies and safeguard their independence. More generally, the growing satellite technology market offers new business opportunities for Bavarian companies, which have a traditionally strong presence in this sector.
