Startups have been adding color to the job market for years. They enrich it primarily with their new business models and fresh ideas. They have dominated the scene, especially in the IT industry, for years. Inspired by this diversity, IKOM Start-Up was founded in 2013. Since then, IKOM Start-Up has taken place annually alongside IKOM and offers around 20 companies the opportunity to introduce themselves and recruit competent students.

Our offers for students
At the forum, students not only have the opportunity to get to know young and exciting companies, but also to ask questions about starting a business. These can be asked directly to the founders themselves at the stand or during our startup pitch, where the exhibiting companies can briefly introduce themselves on a small stage.
Anyone requiring further advice can contact UnternehmerTUM. The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Munich supports students in this area and facilitates connections to business and academia. The IKOM Gründerzeit (Start-up Period) is also a good opportunity to gain specific information. Topics such as founding, financing, and managing startup companies will be discussed in a panel discussion with industry representatives. In addition, all other well-known services, such as application portfolio checks, professional application photos, etc., are available at the IKOM main forum. To take advantage of this service, all that is necessary is a short walk to the neighboring building, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
